THE KAMA SUTRA OF QUALITY

INTRODUCTION:

Four thousand years ago, men of wealth and leisure in India made it their mission to perfect their sexual performance.  The Kama Sutra was written for the purpose of guiding them in this strange but enviable pursuit. Sex through the years since The Kama Sutra has gone through many stages of secrecy, repression, censorship, daring, and attempts at frankness.  Today sex and sexuality have moved increasingly into the public domain, but sex remains a topic rich in mystery and intrigue.

Despite its rather tame content by today’s standards, The Kama Sutra has managed to retain a mystique for all who encounter it for the first time.  It is part “how to,” and part forbidden fruit. One aspect of the book which continues to intrigue us is that it was written at all, and so long ago.  The book beckons across centuries and across cultures to the uninitiated with an alluring call.  Its mystique endures.

Today sex is used unabashedly to sell everything from cigarettes to cereal to auto-mechanics seminars.  It is a fair conclusion to say that – like it or not - it works.  Sex sells.  Sex gets our attention. Consistently. Nearly universally.

And now I must confess; I too am going to use sex to get your attention. I am going to use sex to sell an idea. I will suggest that you copy me and use sex to promote quality in your organization. Don’t laugh just yet.  I think you will agree with me that - if you can successfully make quality “sexy,” in your company - you may have a reasonable shot at successfully lifting your organization to a higher – yes, even the highest - standard. Like the men of India, you can take a step closer to perfection.

If you care enough about quality to make it the Number One priority on your corporate agenda, you will agree that any trick, technique, or tactic you can use to improve your chances of success is fair play.  You will also agree that one single strategy may be insufficient to assure success in this mission.

THE KAMA SUTRA OF QUALITY teases you just a little by encouraging you to associate quality with sex.  It is a long shot, but what do you have to lose? The book is short, and I promise you at least a little fun along the way.  THE KAMA SUTRA OF QUALITY calls on you to make quality your new religion within your organization.  It provides you with valuable information on how to achieve quality through diverse means and strategies. It provides novel and unique approaches to what may have seemed like overworked and often unexciting strategies.  Use THE KAMA SUTRA OF QUALITY in the privacy of your own private office behind closed doors, or openly with your management team and with your staff, to achieve your most ambitious goals and even your fantasies, for your company or corporation.
