WHAT REALLY MATTERS
“WHAT REALLY MATTERS: A Boy’s Journey to the Other Side of the Universe” is a musical production in two acts for children and adults with music by Black Hole Music Inc. and written by Cliff Williamson.
Synopsis
E-Bob is a teen with attitude who lives in the Antimatter Dimension. Like all who live on the opposite side of the universe, E-Bob has special mental powers. But because everything comes so easily for him, he doesn’t appreciate his power, his family, nor the world in which he lives. He has numerous conflicts with the people around him. Put simply, he doesn’t seem to understand what really matters.
His parents decide to take a bold step to send him to the “Other side of the Universe” for an extended visit. There he will exchange places with Bobby, his counterpart in the matter dimension. To get to the opposite side of the universe, he must pass through the hidden Gate Number 707 through a black hole. As a small concession, he is accompanied by his faithful but rather unusual looking dog, Krab. Once on the other side of the universe, E-Bob’s struggle with a foreign culture and its strange ways forces him to apply the lessons taught by his senile but very special grandfather. What is more, he learns some important lessons of his own.
